Frequently-asked questions

What does Systems Learning aim to do?

As a systems thinking organisation, we run face-to-face courses to try and answer some of the questions about systems thinking and what it can do.

But we are often asked for a quick and easy introduction, so we have developed this online resource – distilled from the courses developed and facilitated by Martin Sandbrook, one of our directors.

What will I learn?

Following the structure of our tried-and-tested learning courses, the site gives an overview of systems thinking and its benefits to sustainability.

As you will discover, however, this process is an active one. You are invited to take your own perspective on what systems thinking means to you – both personally and professionally.

Who is this site for?

Systems Learning is for anyone who wants to learn about systems thinking – from those who are new to the subject to those who want a refresher course.

All the material is designed to be suitable for individuals, organisations and communities.

What do people say about your courses?

Over the last four years we have run three different courses, for a range of audiences, which explore systems thinking: Sustainability Toolkit, Pale Blue Dot Org and Systems Thinking for Effective Action. All have been well-received by participants.
